Walking in Purbeck
Walkers have
long been enjoying the beautiful countryside of The Isle of Purbeck in
Dorset. The Jurassic Coast here has been recognised by UNESCO as a world
heritage site for its geological importance, while the whole of the Isle
of Purbeck has been declared an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (a
'national landscape').
This book provides
an ideal way to get to know the Purbeck area, with detailed information on
fifteen walks suitable for families and ramblers alike. There are circular
walks on the coast, along the Purbeck Hills ridgeway, and on the beautiful
Purbeck heathland, now recognised for its environmental importance.
The book was fully
revised for the current fourth edition. Full colour OS maps. Published by
Dovecote Press.
